Civic Tech TO @ CARTE

Engage with the power of collaborative innovation at the intersection of technology, design, and civic challenges this winter! The Centre for Analytics and AI Engineering (CARTE) at the University of Toronto is proud to host Civic Tech Toronto, an energetic and diverse community of dedicated Torontonians throughout November and December.

Civic Tech Toronto’s weekly Hacknights are held every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm, both virtually and now in-person at the Myhal Centre on UofT’s campus. These meetings provide a dynamic space where individuals of various backgrounds unite to learn, share, and collaborate on civic tech projects aimed at improving life in Toronto. Each event features stimulating speakers, the sharing of civic tech stories, and collective work on projects of all shapes and sizes.

We welcome everyone, from tech professionals and enthusiasts to simply curious citizens. No matter your skill level or background, your contribution can help us make our city safer, more welcoming, and enjoyable for all.

Civic Tech Toronto is committed to an inclusive and human-centred approach to problem-solving. We firmly believe that when people from different backgrounds work together to address civic issues, extraordinary things can happen. Join us at one of our Hack Nights to learn more about civic tech and connect with an incredible network of civic-minded individuals.

Our meetings are hosted over Zoom at 7:00 pm every Tuesday and simultaneously in-person at the Myhal Centre. Join us through the Zoom desktop, your browser, by phone at 1-647-558-0588 (Meeting ID: 858 4781 1289, Password: 008446), or come visit us in person. Participation via webcams and mics is optional but encouraged to foster the collaborative experience. Come help us innovate together to make Toronto even better!
